student protests get international

The student protests against the marketization of education have spread out of Austria.  Several German universities were occupied during the last two weeks.  Since today protesters are also occupying a hall at the university in Basel (Switzerland).

In the UK,  students of the London College of Communication who protested against planned course closures and staff redundancies vacated the main lecture theatre today.
